OUR POLICY

Background

JAYTEC is a new rapidly growing brand of automotive lubricants, made in Japan.
It is a product of collaboration between domestic lubricant traders and Japan's leading oil industry manufacturers.
The birth of JAYTEC brand was preceded by years of extensive trading with the leading Japanese OEM oil suppliers and dealing in famous oil brands, which helped accumulate the precious knowledge of the product, hone marketing skills, and more importantly analyze the demand and buying abilities of the domestic and international oil markets.
The idea of making JAYTEC oils was inspired by several factors that came out during these years. The first one was an urge to become independent of the factors, created by the orthodox rules that still exist in the Japanese oil industry and put serious limitations on business opportunities.
Some of these un-written but existing rules are:

  • Oil manufacturers in Japan usually do not sell, and do not export directly
  • The distribution system and dealer agreements are not reviewed for years, which often results in a degradation of the brand in some areas, due to poor sales of the local dealer. The decision to renew distributor agreements is often not based on the realistic volume (it is much lower than the market requires), and has nothing to do with the real marketing potential of the applicant. Such policy cannot ensure most effective development of the brand.
  • New dealer applications are usually ignored even if the applicant operates in the area that is not covered by the present dealer network, and even if the applicant has a real potential of developing the brand in his/her area or country.
  • Traditional oil manufacturers are not cooperative in widening the line-up and manufacturing new products, even if such is required by the new trends in automotive business and there is a great demand for it.

We decided to offer our domestic customers a new brand with a wide-ranging line-up that reflects the recent trends of lubricant business of Japan and Europe, with an independent design and package options. The variety of options the JAYTEC line up provides offers oil for any car application that can be found in Japan, and is affordable for any budget level.
Another factor that came out during our vast experience in foreign trade, was encountering a few false "Japanese" brands, marketed in different parts of the world as "Japanese" oils, in fact having very little in common with the advanced Japanese lubricant technologies. We felt necessary to offer drivers of Japanese cars overseas a genuine alternative to the false “Japanese brands”, in a spec that is required overseas and at a reasonable price.

The product line-up

The JAYTEC product line-up that we proudly offer now is the result of detailed research of the automotive oil market in Japan and overseas and numerous discussions with the domestic oils dealers, as well as foreign buyers from over 10 countries.
The final line up was accepted after individual discussion of each particular item with all participants. All offers were considered and each of the opinions was listened to.
The criteria for the selection was high specification and high quality of the oil, which had to meet or exceed the OEM requirements, against its price competitiveness with other oil brands manufactured in Japan.
The oils that were not promising high selling rates or were not price competitive, were either removed from the initial line-up, or given the status "manufacture upon request".
We can manufacture any oil upon the dealer request, as long as the requirements for the minimum order are fulfilled.

Distribution system

Our goal now is to enter the World market with a new Japanese oil brand that is free of the industry rules described above, and offers flexible manufacture policy.
We are already building our JAYTEC dealer network around the World and receive distributor applications from the interested parties.
Our approach to the distribution system is based on the fair principle that says that the dealer rights and support are given in return for good marketing abilities and brand development potential.
We do want to establish partnership with successful individuals in the automotive oil industry, who have a real ability to develop our brand.
We prefer strong players who are willing and able to invest in the development of the new brand in their country, just as we do, and not only wait for total support and require loose payment terms.
However, we also value professionalism and potential even more than previous success with other oil brands, and we will consider offering the dealer rights to companies that happened to enter the lubricant market later than others, and are now in the search for a prospective Japanese brand to become an integral part of their business and possibly a start-up point for the future development.
Our dealer agreements are based on realistic annual volumes, and are aiming at helping our dealers grow together with the brand. We do require to buy volume, in return, we provide strong protection and support to successful and prospective dealers.
