Important! The ultimate purpose of any transmission fluid is maintaining the transmission in a new-like condition. There is no transmission fluid designed to cure the damaged mechanisms. If a transmission is already damaged by the use of improper fluids and experiences a shift shock, it cannot be "magically" repaired just by replacing the old CVTF with some "almighty" fluid. There are additives on the market that can create an image of a "miracle repair" for a short period of time, but in fact they only shorten the mechanisms' life. Before changing oil, the damaged transmission needs to be repaired or rebuilt. We strongly recommend using only specialized fluids, and avoid using fluids claiming compatibility of ATF with CVT and gear oils. |
